Lift From Loss Training Institute

As the community resource for loss of life and bereavement support, Children’s Bereavement Center developed the Lift From Loss Training Institute. This provides grief education and consultation services for professionals and community providers to enhance their skills and knowledge to support clients being served who experienced the loss of a loved one.

Training Opportunities

The Lift From Loss Training Institute provides a variety of services and trainings for professionals helping bereaved families. The trainings are designed to strengthen the ability of individuals and teams to offer meaningful support to those navigating loss. By participating, you and your organization’s staff will gain invaluable tools and insights to better meet the grief, and bereavement needs of your clients and their loved ones. As part of our training, participants will be encouraged to explore their own grief responses and reflect on how professional boundaries shape the services they provide. With these enhanced skills and deeper understanding, professionals will be empowered to offer more compassionate, tailored services to the communities served. Below are our available training options and enrollment details:

1. Grief-Informed Training Series

Grief-Informed Training series offers four-part sessions with a goal to ensure that more individuals in our communities are grief-informed so that we can best support clients, staff, and each other in a meaningful and intentional manner after a significant loss in someone’s life.

The series is offered online through two options: 1.) On-Demand Training allows you to go at your own pace or 2.) Live Training is continuously held each month throughout the year. For more details on the two tracks to complete the training, click here.

Contact us to see if you qualify for FREE training. There are currently limited spots available for qualified nonprofits in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties and mental health professionals across the State of Florida. For those that work in school settings, we offer alternative sessions that provide school-specific content to support grieving students.
