Become a Group Facilitator

Volunteering with the Children’s Bereavement Center can be a wonderfully rewarding opportunity for Adults and High School students who would like to support grieving children and families in their community. Student volunteers receive community service recognition for their participation. Adults and teen volunteers help by co-facilitating our Bereavement Peer Support groups where children, teens, and families share with one another as they adjust their lives to loss.

The CBC relies on a large team of Volunteer Group Facilitators at all of our program site locations. Volunteers may choose any of our family site locations. Volunteers are engaged in a 2 part training prior to being placed in our Support Groups and are asked to make a commitment to a full program year (2-4 times per month). Trainings take place in August for the upcoming program year.

Please contact the CBC for information about Volunteer Opportunities at 305-668-4902, 888-988-5438 or julissa@childbereavement.org.
