Hailing from Blackstone, Virginia, LaCriscia began immersing herself in community activities in high school. She has followed the path of empowerment, mentorship, and leadership training for youth and adults. LaCriscia is authentic, caring, and loyal to building and being in healthy, whole communities.

LaCriscia joined the Outreach Team at Lift From Loss/Children’s Bereavement Center in 2021. Her connection with grieving and healing is one of her love languages.  She connects strongly to the motto of “Grief is meant to be shared” as she tells her journeys of mourning with the community.

LaCriscia believes that if we want to heal ourselves and the world, we must start at the root, which begins with love and truth, self first, then others.  Rooted In Love and Truth resulted from her following her heart and looking at the needs of her peers and humanity.  Programming is built around trauma and resilience training, breathwork, sound healing, chakra balancing, and her exploration of essential oils and herbal remedies for illnesses. 

LaCriscia's academic achievements are a testament to her dedication and expertise. She holds a Master of Business Administration specializing in Management and a Master of Science in Sport Management, both from Barry University. Her work in the community has been recognized with the prestigious 'Rising Star' Barry University Distinguished Alumni Award. Currently residing in Miami, Florida, she continues to serve the community and cherishes her time with family and friends.
