The Grief Hangout: For college students by college students
The Grief Hangout was created by college students for college students and is open to young adults ages 18-20's.
It is free to attend, and the Zoom link will be sent the day of the event.
Have you ever noticed your shoulders tense up, your chest feel heavy, or your mind go blank when emotions become overwhelming? Grief can show up in our bodies in ways we don't always recognize or understand. Join us for an interactive, low-pressure space to explore the connection between grief, emotions, and the body.
Through gentle mindfulness, guided reflection, and simple grounding activities, we'll explore how our bodies respond to difficult emotions and discover practical ways to reconnect with ourselves when things feel overwhelming. There will also be opportunities to connect with other young adults in a relaxed, supportive environment. No pressure to share personal experiences, just come as you are!
Key Highlights:
- Explore how grief and difficult emotions can show up physically and emotionally.
- Discover ways to recognize your body's signals when you're feeling overwhelmed.
- Try simple grounding and tension-release techniques.
- Connect with other young adults in a welcoming, judgment-free space.
- Participate at your own comfort level. Sharing is always optional!
