Kendra Yarbor, Ph.D., serves as Director of Philanthropy and Grants at the Children's Bereavement Center (CBC). Kendra is responsible for leading the fundraising activities and donor relations strategy for the organization, in close partnership with leadership, to ensure that children, teens, and adults have access to grief support during times of loss and immense transition. She is a dedicated development professional who believes that philanthropy can be a powerful tool for healing. Kendra holds a Ph.D. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University. Her research interests are in theology and the study of religion, with a special focus on the intersection of race and the formation of religious and spiritual identity.
